30-Year Mortgage Rates Hit 14-Month Low

Rates on 30-year, fixed-rate mortgages averaged 5.56 percent, down from 5.62 percent last week. It marked the ninth decline in the past 10 weeks and pushed rates down to the lowest level since they averaged 5.52 percent the week of April 1, 2004.
